The Coffee Emporium’s origins date back to 1991 in Bankstown, New South Wales.
Coffee aficionado John Ayoub stumbled upon a rustic coffee shop located in Bankstown, NSW. He acquired the coffee shop in 2002 and, together with his cousin Sam Ayoub, formed a great partnership in 2005 to take the brand on an exciting new journey. John introduced a premium signature trademark blend he had been perfecting over the years, positioning The Coffee Emporium as a European-style coffee shop.

The cousins built a reputation in the local community for outstanding high quality coffee and great guest experience and word quickly spread out on The Coffee Emporium eventually attracting the attention of critics, the media and the general public. Due to high demand the brand engaged in the franchising system for the first time in 2006. Six years later, John and Sam celebrated the opening of the 20th coffee house.
